Experienced photographers spend hours touching-up images to achieve the best visual results and preparing the pictures for printing. Digital photographers make countless choices deciding which camera and settings to use to take a picture, and what software and which tools to use to enhance the picture afterwards. At each post-processing step, the tools you use to enhance the picture affect the image, enhancing or degrading the result.

Regardless of your choice of photographic software, one thing is certain. The computer and image editing software are an essential part of the digital workflow. Computer-edited digital pictures appear in newspapers and glossy magazines, billboards and advertisements. If you have just one image, spending an hour in Adobe Photoshop to get the perfect print makes sense. If you take hundreds of images, however, taking care to enhance each individual image consumes so much time and effort that many prefer to forget the whole idea. But what if you had a proper tool to make your digital workflow simple, quick and effective?

SnapTouch (www.snaptouch.com) takes care of the entire digital workflow quickly and efficiently. SnapTouch takes care of every step after you take a picture from helping you transfer pictures from the camera into the computer to preparing already enhanced images for printing.

Transferring images from a digital

camera might be easy, but SnapTouch also makes it smart. It can automatically sort pictures depending on the day they were shot, naming and placing them into folders accordingly. Specify your own transfer scenario, and your digital pictures will be sorted, named and placed depending on your very own criteria.

Correcting and enhancing images is the second step of your digital workflow. During this step, you compensate and correct gamma and exposure, adjust brightness and contrast, rotate and flip pictures, remove red-eye and resize your pictures for Web viewing or printing. SnapTouch is designed to handle jobs to enhance bunches of multiple images while maintaining the highest quality through the entire workflow.

The third step of your digital workflow depends on what you’re planning to do with the image. If you’re up to making a Web album or archiving images on a disk, use SnapTouch to stamp your pictures by imprinting the date they were shot, naming the pictures or embedding your signature. You can specify your own font and color for the stamp, making your digital pictures appear as works of art.

If you’re going to print a multitude of images, consider the different aspect ratios of your digital pictures and the paper they will be printed on. The two common aspect ratios are 4:3 and 3:2. Why gamble on what will be cut out of your photographs in the printing lab when you can specify your own crop in no time? SnapTouch allows you to specify the aspect ratio of the paper you’re printing on, and processes your images with a moving fixed-aspect frame. By specifying the frame position you are making crops showing your main subject without cutting out important features.

SnapTouch is a digital photographer’s workhorse allowing you to process batches of hundreds of digital pictures in a straightforward workflow. Combining advanced features and unique automation with unprecedented ease of use, SnapTouch is a must-have tool for advanced amateurs and digital photo professionals.

No related posts.

What Are Webpage Templates

Photoshop For The Web

Htmlwebsitetemplate

Landingpagetemplate

Webpagetemplates
<guid

Web templates are designed to be customised so a designer – amateur or expert professional – can swiftly make the internet site unique for themselves or their clients.

What files will I am getting when I buy a template? The files that you receive may differ dependent on who you buy from, what type you purchase and what the available features are for that type of template. Whatever sort of template you select there are some files that should accompany your purchase : Index.html file, jpeg/gif image files, font files, External CSS Style sheets, and PSD files. – you’ll also receive .js file ( for templates that use JavaScript ) and readme.txt files. Customarily these files are sent to you in a .zip format. You need to unzip them to utilize them. You can make use of unzipping software like WinZip to unzip the files. This program can be downloaded from winzip.com.

What rights have I got with the web templates? Essentially there are two kinds of templates : exclusive – copyrighted templates and nonexclusive – non-copyrighted templates. The exclusive template gives possession rights to the purchaser but the nonexclusive template doesn’t. Exclusive webpage templates usually cost more but they insure that your template isn’t sold to any other buyer. You may use the template however you wish and resell it to other shoppers. A nonexclusive template is less expensive and gives you only use

rights over the template. This implies you can change the template as you wish but you may not resell it to a third party. Non-exclusive templates also mean the same template can be resold by the template provider to over one customer.

How can the web templates be edited? Revising involves inserting your content, changing parts of the style and adding or changing any graphic elements. This is done using files given your purchase : psd and index.html for example.

revising pictures and graphics You would force PSD files to edit pictures and graphics like change image color ; add/remove image layers and so on. PSD files are those created using Photoshop and can be edited using Photoshop, ImageReady, imac or other image revising software programs. You can also change images to your tastes.

Editing Your Content:

If you only wish to change or add content of the template, you simply go to edit the index.html file. The index.html file is provided for all webpage templates by the vendor and can be edited with any html editor like FrontPage or Dreamweaver. You may also edit content using text editors. Index.html may also be used for removing or replacing the images or changing links as well as adding meta-tags, alt texts, title and changing the image sources.

Editing Your Layouts and Styles:

To edit layouts and styles you’d need a CSS style sheet. The CSS style sheet is essentially a document that lets you make changes like text color, paragraph spacing, headings, links, etc . To multiple pages at a previous time. Be sure to ask the vendor to give you the external CSS style sheets because they make it really easy to do any revising. The CSS style sheet can be edited using any of the HTML or text editors. You may use the Webpage Templates customization services that are supplied by most template providers if you’re having difficulty.

.

I am web designer looking to expand.

No related posts.

Photoshop Web Design

Photoshop For The Web

Internet and business online

Orange county web design

Web Design
<guid

Web design back then isn’t as easy today, today you just have to design a whole layout on Adobe Photoshop and it’s ready. All the elements are cut and you just need to clean it up and place everything else on Adobe Dreamweaver. Of course there are other ways but to most novice web designers this is by far the easiest option. No more are the days when you need to code everything from scratch since there are so much that programs today have to offer.

Back to the topic, you can make a website layout with Adobe Photoshop. It’s no big secret that even web design companies use this since it takes less time and the finish product is pretty well done. The difference lies in the premise that even if you’re making a layout on Adobe Photoshop, you still need to consider the rules when it comes to design if you forget any then you’ve gone beyond the intended result and this could be a bad thing.

Web design and artistic design are divided by a very fine line, at times it can be blurred but there are some aspects that are separated as clear as day. One of the things about web design is that you need to make the content your center of attention. In fact, an Orange County Web Design company, Crest Media Inc., advised that it isn’t about the design as much as it is about the content. When designing in Adobe Photoshop, you have to consider the elements that are outside design, the content, the user’s connection and the other elements that might be added later. Your design should be flexible to make the content stand out, it should be also optimized for<div

So many other graphic design blogs out there only publish good content once or twice a week. but, Outlaw Design Blog publishes articles and graphic design inspiration daily. Speaking of which, if you are looking for daily graphic design inspiration, be sure to grab their RSS feed. they regularly publish great advertising pieces, photoshop art, logo designs, and even some photography and illustrator work. if you are a designer, you can even email them some of your own work or other work that you find interesting.

Jack is a freelance designer.

As of version 5 and later, Photoshop includes a very helpful “Save for Web” command. This element enables you to save a copy of your image that is optimized for internet use. “Optimized” means that the image file will be as small as possible, and that the image will use only Web-safe colors. The “Save for Web” option can save images in GIF, JPEG, or PNG format.

Using Save for Web When your image is ready to be put onto your web page, select “Save for Web”… from the File menu. The “Save for Web” dialog appears:

This dialog box allows you to tell Photoshop how you’d like to optimize your graphic for the internet. You have the ability to select the file format to produce (GIF, JPEG or PNG), what size palette you’d like to use, how to cut down the colors to fit the chosen palette size, how much to dither the optimized image (if at all) and how much image quality to sacrifice in order to produce a smaller file size.

Image views You will see four tabs above the image view pane on the left side of the screen. These options allow you to view the original image, the optimized version (this is the default), the original and optimized versions side-by-side (“2-Up”) and the original, optimized and two variations on the optimization all together (“4-Up”). You can use the Zoom tool to zoom in and out of the image; the Hand tool to move the view around; and the Eyedropper tool to select a color from the image which can be used by various color options o

n the right of the dialog.

Presets There are many options in the Save for Web dialog, and the choices can be quite confusing! Fortunately, there are a list of presets you can choose from to make it easier. Click the Settings: drop-down list (just below the Cancel button) to bring up the list of presets:

Three basic image formats exists in the presets – GIF, JPEG and PNG. The rule of thumb is to use JPEG’s for photos and GIF’s for all else. For a full guide on choosing the right image format, see Understanding image formats.

Optimising GIFs If you’re making a GIF, start off with a preset such as GIF 32 Dithered, which should work well for most GIFs. You can then fine-tune the optimisation to suit your needs. Some of the important optimisation options are discussed below.

Color reduction method This drop-down box is located below the Image Format box. The commonly used options here include:

Perceptual: Generates the reduced color palette which favors colors that the human eye is more sensitive to. Selective: Like Perceptual, but much better for Web work. The preferred option. Adaptive: Produces the palette by using an even sampling of colors from the image’s color spectrum. By and large not quite as good as Selective. Web: Use this option if you need a complete Web-safe color palette (Netscape 216-colour palette). This usually isn’t that important as most computer screens support at least 16 million colors. Dithering method This drop-down box is located below the “color reduction method” box. Dithering involves adding patterned or random dots to the image which make it look to have more colors than are actually in the palette, which allows you to use a smaller palette size. The options are:

No Dither: No dithering is applied to the image. This is good if the dithering effect looks bad, but can produce severe “banding” of colors. Diffusion: Uses error diffusion dithering, which looks similar to Noise dithering and produces a random-looking pattern of dots. This method can produce seams when using ImageReady slices. Pattern: Uses a pattern for dithering, rather than random dots. Can work well for some images, but sometimes produces a rather unnatural look to the image. Noise: Similar to Diffusion, but does not create seams at the edges of slices in ImageReady. Transparency If your image does not have its Background layer turned on this checkbox will be available. It denotes that you wish for parts of the saved GIF to be translucent. If you uncheck this box, the transparent areas will instead be filled with the Matte color (or white if no matte is selected).

Interlaced A quick note about this: if checked it does increase the file size. This checkbox controls GIF Interlacing. If enabled, the GIF will appear gradually as interlaced horizontal lines as it is loaded on the Web page, which gives viewers something to look at while the full image appears.

Lossy This slider enables you to remove some detail from the image, in order to reduce the file size further. Only use this option if you don’t mind reducing the image quality quite severely! A value of 0 will not remove any detail; a value of 100 will remove the maximum amount of detail.

Colors This is where you choose the size of your GIF palette. A palette of 32 colours is often sufficient for web images, but if your image has a lot of detail and looks too fuzzy/blurry/banded with 32, up it to 64, 128 or 256. If your image has very few colours in to start with, or doesn’t look too bad with fewer colours, select 16, 8, 4 or even 2! This will make the GIF file size smaller.

Dither If you have chosen a dithering method (see above), this option will allow you control over how much the image is dithered – 0 means no dithering, 100 means lots of dithering.

Matte Matte is the background color you wish to use for your image. If you’ve enabled Transparency (see above), then the foreground image will be faded at the edges to blend in with the matte color. If you choose the Matte setting of “None”, the GIF will have a “hard transparency” with no fading; this is great if you want to be able to use the image on any color background.

If you’ve disabled Transparency, the transparent areas of your image will be filled in with the matte color.

Web Snap If you want to use web-safe colours, increase the Web Snap slider. Photoshop will bias your colour palette more and more towards web-safe colours the higher the value of Web Snap.

Optimising JPEGs If you’re making a JPEG, start off with a preset such as JPEG Medium, which should work well for most JPEGs. You can then fine-tune the optimisation to suit your needs. Some of the important optimisation options are discussed below.

Quality Two ways to alter the compression quality include the Low/Medium/High/Maximum list (for quick access) and the Quality slider (for fine control). The lower the quality setting, the more blurry and bitty the JPEG will appear, but the resulting file size will be smaller.

Progressive A progressive JPEG is analogous to an interlaced GIF (see above). The image will load step by step on the Web page – a low resolution image first, then eventually the full, high-resolution image. Again this is great for stopping your viewers on slow modems from getting bored, but it does mean a slightly larger file size, and older browsers don’t support progressive JPEGs.

Matte If your Photoshop image has transparent areas, you can fill them with a specified matte color with this drop-down box.

Optimising PNGs The options for optimising a PNG-24 is much the same as those for optimising a JPEG. Similarly, the options for optimising a PNG-8 are very similar to those for optimising a GIF. See the GIF and JPEG sections above for details.

If you really can’t be bothered… …you can always let Photoshop optimise your image for you! Select the little arrow just to the right of the Settings… box and select Optimize to File Size…:

In the dialog that pops up, select Auto Select GIF/JPEG then enter your desired file size. Click OK and Photoshop does the rest for you! If you’re not happy with the results, tweak the settings as described in the sections above, or just choose a slightly larger file size and try again.

Saving the image Once you’re happy with your optimized image, click OK to save it to disk. The file saved will be a copy of your original image, unless you specifically overwrite the original with the optimized file.

DavidPeters

Author Bio
Did you like this article?

Optimization is a process which can be lengthy for perfect results or fairly brief for almost perfect results. You have to weigh in on which route you need to go. Adobe Photoshop and Adobe ImageReady both offer full tool sets for optimizing the file for online display quality. I would use the one I’m most familiar with and the one that’s used most frequently. For a skilled user, ImageReady is really not necessary.

The easy way:

Use the Photoshop Save As command lets you save an image as a GIF, JPEG, or PNG file. Depending on the file format, you can specify image quality, background transparency or matting, color display, and downloading method. The controls for the resulting dialog boxes are fairly clear. I recommend saving this way (using a different name) and saving the next way as a means of comparing the two results. Then you’ll know for sure which is most advantageous.

For greater control and more precise optimization I use the Save for Web command. It’s found in the File menu just below the “Save As…” item.

The “Save for Web” window offers a variety of choices. Again, the options here are all fairly self explanatory.

Click on the tab at the top of the image area to choose a display option: I recommend 2-Up so you can see both versions of the image side by side.

The area below each image in the “Save for Web” dialog box gives you information concerning how the file will perform online. Some items you should see include the original image filename
<img

I use the 28.8 setting to be sure.

Now play with the “quality” options to the right and test the different settings.

Nothing will affect the file until you select “Save Optimized” — so experiment until you have a visual understanding of what to expect.

You can also set scaling at this time, and Photoshop does a pretty good job of sampling your image down to the correct size. Remember: never enlarge.

DavidPeters

Author Bio
Would you like to <a

As a premier photo editing and graphic designing program, this Adobe tool has been used across industries worldwide. The escort web design industry which is getting popular every passing day does also play a very intimate affair with this tool. The escort industry always needs to conceptualize and create clients’ projects with breathtaking images because images of models and sexy girls are the prime crowd pullers for the businesses specializing in adult stuffs. Until and unless, escort marketing services providers promote their services well through proper channels and designers design their visual content well, it’s a bit difficult to meet up to the expectations.

In order to make the images in an escort site more exciting, an escort agency web design expert uses Photoshop tools like Crop Tool very frequently. The tool allows the designer to select an area of an image and helps him discard everything outside the area. In the Photoshop Toolbox, the tool can be located third from the top.

In an escort site, designers use the tool to cut the portions of a girl’s image that’s not necessary. Cropping reduces the dimensions of an image, but unlike resizing, it doesn’t alter the size of the image content at all. Drag a selection with the Crop Tool just in the same manner as you do with the Marquee Tools. By using the space bar and shift keys you can drag and shape the rectangle and once you have a selection, press the enter key to crop the rest of the picture away.
<<div

Or you can use Photoshop to create just the navigation for your web site, or to optimize images on your web site. No matter how you use Photoshop, it will definitely make your web site look much nicer, and also help it to run faster.

Photoshop can help you to create an entire web site without coding much HTML by hand. You can draw a complete web site in Photoshop, and then transfer your image into Image Ready so that you can slice up the image into smaller elements, and then save the images and the corresponding HTML to render the page very easily. Then all you have to do is use you?re newly created web site and entire content into the blank spaces that you have left in the template. After you have added the content to your pages, you will be ready to post your new web site to the web.

When I am creating web sites I use Photoshop to create the navigation for the web site and also to optimize all of the images, so that my web site will load faster. I usually create buttons for the navigation, and then create rollover effects from within Image Ready. This saves me quite a bit of time, because all of the JavaScript for the mouse over effects are done for me, which allows me to work on the more advanced coding of the pages. Even if you want to<div

Then you can choose which optimized image you would like to use based on the ratio between how good the picture looks and how fast it loads. Without optimizing your images your web site will perform very slowly and visitors will be less likely to wait. You can create a web site on your own by hand coding the entire site, but using Photoshop will make creating your web site much easier and more appealing.

Gabriel Adams -

Author Bio
<a
